Job Purpose/Overview
The Business Partner supports the P&O head for Multisales Belgium, global Seniors Business partners for the global hub population of Silverhouse and managers in driving business success, emphasizing the people agenda and foster associate advocacy. A critical aspect of this role is focus on bringing the talent strategy to life and organizational deployment. This position will play a key role to lead successful Mars signature and unit specific programs that cater to associate needs and enable overall unit effectiveness to enable consistent and high quality service delivery in alignment with Mars Five Principles.

Key Responsibilities
Business Leadership – for MS – Act in close partnership with the P&O Head and MS managers to establish short and long term goals to drive business success and performance, ensure the people strategy is clear and the people agenda lives and is actioned upon within the unit and drive associate advocacy.
Talent & Organizational Health – for MS –E nsure a robust talent pipeline through associate development, performance management and succession planning. Drive team effectiveness and associate engagement. Keep a ‘pulse’ of the business and design in co operation with P&O head appropriate OD interventions that strength the health of the organization and enable a high performing culture.
Unit Effectiveness – for SH & MS – Drive efficiency across the P&O operating model by: facilitating the adoption of Mars signature programs, leading and managing unit specific projects, providing P&O support to the unit and interfacing with Line Managers.
Enabling Operations for SH & MS – Guide, support, and position MAS and Line Managers to most effectively and efficiently serve Mars associates. Address any escalated issues, as needed. Work together with the P&O head, Associate Relations and TA to enable efficient P&O operations.

Context and Scope:
Business Leadership
Ensure that the principles and values that underlie the Mars way of business are properly integrated into and observed across P&O operating policies and practices
Ensure that all associates understand the objectives and strategies of the business and how this relates back to their personal and team goals
Implement cutting edge P&O initiatives by providing recommendations to P&O head, and the leadership team, based on the most pressing business needs, mitigate risks, and manage teams to deliver industry leading solutions that will strengthen the brand and the business
Talent & Organizational Health
Accountable for implementing and managing P&O initiatives that ensure the right people are in the right roles by identifying new solutions to address talent and / or organizational issues based on observed trends and key business needs
Ensure a robust talent pipeline through effective recruitment briefs by LM’s, associate development, performance management, and succession planning.
Identify opportunities to develop line managers
Partner with managers to ensure organizations effectiveness for current and future business performance needs and develop & propose appropriate OD interventions to P&O head/LT team
Serve as the “voice of the business” acting as a key funnel for communicating feedback on the organizational pulse and on any talent / capability gaps to P&O and business leadership to mitigate risk and strengthen the overall health of the organization through targeted P&O interventions
Unit Effectiveness
Customize leading practices and frameworks to institute systems that drive results as well as translating business requirements into workable solutions that enable segment priorities and position the business for growth
Provide local business insights and segment insights to local P&O head, Senior Global Business partners and the CoE, to most effectively tackle P&O related needs and development opportunities that are critical to business performance along with recommended plans, methods, and solutions to deliver sustained outstanding service to associates
Enabling Operations
Serve as an advocate in fostering a “One Mars” environment and managing the interactions and interdependencies of the MAS, CoE, Senior Global Business partners, and Line Manager roles to best drive key business objectives
Educate and coach the Line Managers to interact directly with MAS on a range of topics to empower Line Managers to become more self-sufficient
Provide the mentorship and guidance that line managers need to be successful in their positions so that they are positioned to deliver impact to Mars

Job Specifications /Qualifications
1. Education & Professional Qualification
Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management or related field
Preferred qualification: Master/ Post Graduate Degree in Human Resources, Business, Management or related field

2. Knowledge/Experience
6-8 years of progressive P&O experience,
Demonstrated ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and reach strategic business goals
Solid knowledge of global and local policies and practices and understand their application in solving business needs and ability to provide guidance
Strong consulting skills and ability to influence decisions to a positive business outcome
Good business acumen / business experience
Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision making skills, using a comprehensive approach with strong attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Effective in building relationship at all levels
